Procreate is perfect for mocking up designs, using the symmetry tool, and creating and saving brushes easily. Affinity is great for making it professional and ready for print or client work. Illustrator on the iPad is part of Adobe Creative Cloud, so you can design anywhere, work seamlessly across your devices, and keep everything in sync. Affinity Designer is one of the most ambitious creative apps for the iPad. Taking all of the power and precision that the desktop version is known for and migrating it to the iPad, this iteration of Affinity Designer has been specially upgraded to fit the device. Affinity Designer is perfect for any part of the workflow, and boasts over 100. In this particular case, Procreate is the equivalent of Photoshop, and Affinity Designer is the equivalent of Illustrator, the 'Procreate is Pixel Based while Designer is Vector Based' argument is actually true. Pixels are, well. Just individual points in a space with different color values and CAN'T be upscaled or downscaled without losing quality, that's why this is used for photo editing / realistic illustration. Affinity designer is an alternative to adobe illustrator, which uses vectors to draw. The things you make with those will have cleaner and sharper edges and will be infinitely resizable. You can apply textures to shapes you draw, but it’s not as easy to just straight up draw like you can in the others.
